reMarkable Paper Pro Launches as the World’s Slimmest Paper Tablet Featuring a Color Display and Front Light

New Accessories Introduced, Including a Keyboard Case for Enhanced Usability

reMarkable has unveiled its latest innovation, the Paper Pro, a cutting-edge addition to its line of paper tablets. This new model signifies the start of a fresh series of products while ensuring that the existing reMarkable 2 remains available, recently launched in India. The Paper Pro boasts several enhancements over its predecessor, including a revamped display, a sleek design, and a variety of new accessories, such as a Book Folio case and a Type Folio case. This blend of innovation and usability positions the Paper Pro as a compelling option for both new users and those looking to upgrade.

In terms of pricing, the reMarkable Paper Pro is currently available for pre-order exclusively in the United States. Customers can choose between two bundles: one that includes the standard Marker stylus for $579 (approximately Rs. 48,600) and another that comes with the Marker Plus stylus for $629 (around Rs. 52,800). This pricing reflects the tablet’s premium features and positioning in the market as a high-quality digital writing tool.

The reMarkable Paper Pro showcases a striking new design crafted from aluminium and glass, which lends it a more robust and sophisticated look compared to the reMarkable 2. At 11.8 inches, the tablet features a custom-made Canvas Colour display. While the display allows for only nine colors during writing or sketching, it supports thousands of colors for viewing and reading documents. This color versatility enhances the user experience, making it ideal for both creative professionals and casual users alike.

One of the standout features of the Paper Pro is its built-in reading light, a significant improvement over the reMarkable 2, which required external lighting for use in dim environments. This enhancement ensures that users can comfortably read and write in various lighting conditions, providing greater flexibility. However, details regarding whether this front light adjusts automatically, similar to Amazon’s Kindle e-readers, remain unclear.

Moreover, the inclusion of new accessories such as the Book Folio case and Type Folio case adds functionality and protection to the device. The Type Folio case, in particular, is designed to enhance the user experience by providing a comfortable typing surface, making the Paper Pro suitable for note-taking, sketching, and even light document editing. This versatility broadens its appeal beyond just a digital notebook.

Overall, the reMarkable Paper Pro represents a significant leap forward in the realm of paper tablets, combining sleek design with advanced technology. As it becomes available to a wider audience, it has the potential to redefine how users interact with digital content, merging the tactile experience of writing with the benefits of modern technology. Whether for professionals, students, or anyone who values the art of handwriting, the Paper Pro is poised to be a game changer in the digital writing landscape.
