Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Series May Switch from Snapdragon to MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ Chipset

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series Features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC for Galaxy

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 series was initially expected to be unveiled at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10, alongside the new Galaxy Z series foldables. However, the event passed without any mention of the next-generation tablets. Now, reports suggest that Samsung may launch the Galaxy Tab S10 series in October. As anticipation builds for an official announcement, new leaks have surfaced, shedding light on the hardware details of the upcoming tablets. The series is expected to include two models: the Galaxy Tab S10+ and the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.

According to tipster Ice Universe on X, the Galaxy Tab S10 series might feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset, diverging from earlier speculation about Qualcomm Snapdragon processors. The MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ is a high-end octa-core SoC with a configuration that includes four cores clocked at 2.0GHz, three cores reaching up to 2.85GHz, and a prime core operating at 3.4GHz. This chip supports up to LPDDR5T-9600 RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, which could deliver significant performance improvements.

If these reports are accurate, it would mark a significant departure for Samsung, which has predominantly used Snapdragon chipsets in its premium tablets. The Galaxy Tab S9 series, for instance, is powered by Qualcomm’s custom Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC for Galaxy, highlighting Samsung’s previous preference for Qualcomm’s offerings in their high-end tablets.

The switch to MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+ could offer various benefits, including enhanced performance and efficiency, which may appeal to users looking for cutting-edge technology in their tablets. MediaTek’s chips have been gaining traction in the high-performance segment, making this potential move a strategic choice for Samsung to diversify its hardware offerings.

As we await further confirmation from Samsung, these leaks suggest an exciting shift in the tablet market. The integration of MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+ could set new standards for performance in the Galaxy Tab series, potentially influencing the competitive landscape of premium tablets.

With the launch event approaching, more details are likely to emerge, providing a clearer picture of Samsung’s strategy for the Galaxy Tab S10 series. Whether the new tablets will live up to the performance expectations set by the leaks remains to be seen, but the anticipation for October’s reveal is certainly building.
