Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Rumored to Receive Camera Boost: Potential Integration of Galaxy S24 Ultra’s Camera System

Samsung May Introduce Budget-Friendly Galaxy Z FE Foldable Variant

Samsung is gearing up for the launch of its highly anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 6, slated to debut later this year alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 6, successors to the previous Fold 5 and Flip 5 models unveiled in July 2023. Anticipation for these upcoming devices is high, with expectations running high for significant upgrades over their predecessors.

Leaks have begun to surface, offering insights into potential display enhancements for the forthcoming handsets. Additionally, rumors suggest that Samsung is poised to introduce a more budget-friendly foldable smartphone option. Recently, a tipster known as Revegnus (@Tech_Reve) took to X (formerly Twitter) to reveal a potential game-changing detail about the Galaxy Z Fold 6: the incorporation of the same top-tier camera sensor found in the flagship Galaxy S24 Ultra model.

Although there was initial speculation surrounding a possible decrease in battery capacity, it’s now rumored that Samsung may prioritize enhancing the primary camera sensor instead, offering users an unprecedented photography experience with the upcoming Fold 6.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra comes with a quad rear camera system with a 200-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, a 50-megapixel telephoto shooter, and a 10-megapixel camera.

Notably, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 carries a triple rear camera setup, which includes a 50-megapixel sensor with a wide-angle lens and OIS (optical image stabilisation) support, a 12-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto shooter.

An earlier leak claimed that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 may come with a wider display and slimmer design. The phone is tipped to get bigger inner and outer displays as compared to the preceding model. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 has a 7.6-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex primary display and a 6.2-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover panel.
