A Glimpse into the Future: Asus ROG Phone 8 Design Unveiled as Device Appears on Bluetooth SIG Website
Asus has officially teased the impending launch of the much-anticipated Asus ROG Phone 8, the successor to the ROG Phone 7, targeting the gaming community. Recent sightings on a certification website have added fuel to the excitement, indicating that the phone’s release is imminent.
The teaser posted on X (formerly Twitter) showcases the top right corner of the ROG Phone 8, subtly revealing a darker left corner with the camera module.
By adjusting brightness levels, keen observers can discern the triple rear camera setup and a side-mounted USB port. The teaser, however, remains elusive on specific launch details, leaving enthusiasts in suspense with a simple promise that the ROG Phone 8 is “coming soon.”
Simultaneously, the Bluetooth SIG certification website has brought to light the Asus ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro, identified by model numbers AI2401_C/D/A and AI2401_A/C/F, respectively. The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra, bearing the model number AI2401_H, was also detected on the same website, as confirmed.
These findings hint at an imminent release of the successors to the ROG Phone 7 series, possibly within the next few days or weeks. Earlier in the year, Asus introduced the ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate in India, featuring a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor coupled with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
They feature a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, and an 8-megapixel macro camera. They are also equipped with a 32-megapixel selfie camera. Both ROG Phone 7 series phones pack 6,000mAh batteries that can be charged at 65W.
