Solana Labs Teams Up with Google Cloud to Advance Blockchain in Mainstream Game Development

Solana Labs’ GameShift Architecture Simplifies Blockchain Game Development

Google Cloud has been actively positioning itself as a pro-Web3 entity in recent times. In a strategic move, Solana Labs has now partnered with Google Cloud to propel blockchain into mainstream game development. Through this collaboration, the eco-friendly blockchain platform aims to leverage Google Cloud’s capabilities to offer its own blockchain-based game development suite to developers, aiming to push blockchain technology to the forefront of gaming development.

Solana Labs introduced GameShift back in 2023, providing developers with architecture that allows them to build games on the blockchain without having to navigate complex intricacies. GameShift empowers developers to integrate non-custodial wallets along with quick and scalable tools for creating and distributing in-game assets, all powered by the Solana blockchain.

Davis Hart, Head of GameShift, mentioned in an official statement, “GameShift becoming part of Google Cloud’s partner ecosystem allows us to accelerate mainstream adoption by extending these capabilities to their vast, global developer ecosystem.”

Through this partnership, Solana Labs aims to streamline blockchain game development and make it more accessible to developers worldwide. By leveraging Google Cloud’s resources and global reach, Solana Labs seeks to advance the adoption of blockchain technology in the gaming industry.

Google Cloud, in recent times, has been taking multiple steps to establish itself as a pro-Web3 entity. Now, Solana Labs has joined forces with Google Cloud. Through this partnership, the team behind the eco-friendly green blockchain will use the capabilities of Google Cloud to offer its own blockchain-based game development suit to developers. With this, Solana Labs wish to bring the blockchain technology on the forefront of gaming development.

Solana Labs created GameShift back in 2023. This architecture lets developers build games on blockchain rather than leaving them to deal with intricacies. As part of its suit, GameShift lets developers integrate non-custodial wallets alongside quick and scalable tools to create and distribute in-game assets. All of these processes are backed on the Solana blockchain.

“GameShift becoming part of Google Cloud’s partner ecosystem allows us to accelerate mainstream adoption by extending these capabilities to their vast, global developer ecosystem,” Davis Hart, Head of GameShift, wrote in an official statement.
