Vivo V70 Spotted on IMDA Certification, Launch Appears Near

The Vivo V70 has also surfaced on the US FCC certification database, hinting at an upcoming launch.

Vivo appears to be moving closer to launching its next mid-range smartphone, the Vivo V70, which is expected to replace the Vivo V60. The handset has already surfaced on several certification platforms, indicating that preparations for a wider release are underway. Most recently, the device was reportedly approved by a telecom authority in Singapore, further strengthening speculation about an imminent global debut.

According to a report by The Tech Outlook, a Vivo smartphone carrying the model number V2538 has been listed on Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) website. Although the certification does not directly mention the device’s marketing name, the model number is believed to correspond to the Vivo V70. The listing confirms support for 5G connectivity, along with NFC, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.

The IMDA appearance follows an earlier sighting of the same handset on the US FCC certification database. That listing hinted at similar connectivity features, including Wi-Fi 6, 5G, Bluetooth, and NFC, suggesting that Vivo is preparing the phone for multiple international markets. The device is also expected to ship with Android 16-based OriginOS 6.

In terms of hardware, the Vivo V70 is tipped to use the same Snapdragon 7 series chipset found in its predecessor. The smartphone is also expected to be available in at least one high-end configuration with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. As Vivo has yet to make an official announcement, these details remain unconfirmed and should be treated cautiously.
