Tecno Camon 30 Series Teased for India Launch, Will Feature Sony Cameras

The Tecno Camon 30 series is set to be launched in India soon, as confirmed by Tecno Mobile India. However, the company has not specified which models from the series will be introduced to the Indian market. The lineup includes the Tecno Camon 30, Camon 30 5G, Camon 30 Pro 5G, and Camon 30 Premier 5G. These phones were first globally unveiled in February at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024. Subsequently, the base and Pro variants were launched in Nigeria.

Tecno Mobile India announced the upcoming launch through a post on X (formerly Twitter), although the exact launch date remains undisclosed. The video in the post confirms that the phones will feature Sony Lytia cameras, highlighting an emphasis on high-quality imaging capabilities.

In addition to the camera specifications, another teaser on Tecno’s social media handle showcased one of the upcoming models adorned in a sleek black vegan leather finish, hinting at a premium design aesthetic for the series.

For optics, both 4G and 5G variants of the Tecno Camon 30 include a 50-megapixel primary sensor alongside a 2-megapixel depth sensor with dual rear flash units. The Tecno Camon Pro 5G, on the other hand, features a 1/1.56-inch 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) support, a 50-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

The top-of-the-line Tecno Camon 30 Premier 5G is equipped with a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), another 50-megapixel sensor with up to 3x optical zoom, and a third 50-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens alongside a quad flash unit. All models carry 50-megapixel front cameras.
