Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G Makes Appearance on FCC: Design and Specs Details Revealed in Listing

Speedy Charging Ahead: Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G Expected to Offer 70W Wired Fast Charging Support

Tecno is gearing up to unveil its latest offering, the Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G, later this month, marking the successor to the Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G. While the company had initially disclosed the launch timeline for the handset, further details remained shrouded in mystery. However, recent reports indicate that the upcoming smartphone has made an appearance on certification platforms, shedding light on some of its key specifications. One such listing, spotted on the FCC database under the model number TECNO-LI9, offers insights into the device’s design, RAM, storage, and charging capabilities.

According to a report by MySmartPrice, the FCC listing showcases the Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G adorned with dual rear camera units, accompanied by an LED flash, neatly housed within a sizable trapezoid camera module situated in the top left corner of the rear panel. Additionally, the handset features volume rockers and a power button adorning the right edge.

Moreover, the listing suggests that the Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G is poised to offer generous memory and storage options, with configurations potentially reaching up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. Notably, the device is expected to support rapid 70W wired fast charging, ensuring swift replenishment of its battery.

Further insights gleaned from the Google Play Console listing indicate that the smartphone will likely be powered by an octa-core chipset, comprising two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores ticking at 2.0GHz, coupled with a Mali G57 GPU. While the specific SoC remains undisclosed, the core clusters and frequencies hint at the possibility of it being the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+. Additionally, the Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G is anticipated to ship with an Android 14-based UI, promising a seamless and user-friendly experience for consumers.

 

 

Previously, Tecno announced that the Pova 6 Pro 5G will be revealed at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 that will be held in Barcelona between February 26 and February 29. The company also confirmed that the upcoming handset will be the first model of the brand to feature support for Dolby Atmos spatial sound.

Notably, the Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G launched in India in August 2023. The phone comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC and a 5,000mAh battery with 68W wired fast charging support. It runs Android 13-based HiOS 13.1 out-of-the-box and sports a 6.78-inch full-HD+ 120Hz display.

For optics, the Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G is equipped with a dual rear camera unit which includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an unspecified secondary AI-backed sensor. The front camera of the handset carries a 16-megapixel sensor. At launch, offered in Dark Illusion and Silver Fantasy shades, the model was priced at Rs. 14,999 and Rs. 15,999 for the 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variants, respectively.
