Vivo’s much-anticipated V30 series is poised for its India debut, with the lineup set to include both the standard Vivo V30 and the higher-end Vivo V30 Pro models. The vanilla Vivo V30 quietly made its initial appearance in select global markets in February, setting the stage for its introduction to the Indian market. As the Indian variant is expected to mirror the specifications of its global counterpart, enthusiasts can anticipate top-notch features and performance from this sleek handset. Meanwhile, the Vivo V30 Pro is slated for unveiling in Thailand on February 28, further building anticipation for its imminent arrival in India.
The official announcement from Vivo has set the stage for the grand unveiling of the Vivo V30 series in India, with the launch event scheduled for March 7 at 12pm IST. Building up to the launch, Vivo has launched a dedicated microsite for the phones on Flipkart, confirming their availability on the popular e-commerce platform. Moreover, the company has provided insights into the color options available for the devices, including Andaman Blue, Classic Black, and Peacock Green, offering consumers a diverse range of choices to suit their preferences and style.
Teasers and promotional materials from Vivo have shed light on some of the standout features of the Vivo V30 series, particularly focusing on the camera capabilities. The Vivo V30 Pro is confirmed to boast a sophisticated triple rear camera setup, enhanced with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) for impeccable portrait shots.
Additionally, Vivo’s signature Aura Light feature, featuring a square LED flash unit on the rear panel, is set to elevate the photography experience. With Zeiss-backed cameras further enhancing imaging prowess, the Vivo V30 series promises to deliver stunning photography performance that caters to the diverse needs of modern smartphone users.
The global variant of the Vivo V30 comes with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, a 5,000mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging, and a 6.78-inch 120Hz full-HD AMOLED display. For optics, the phone is equipped with a 50-megapixel primary OV50E sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) support and a 50-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens alongside an Aura Light unit. Meanwhile, the Vivo V30 Pro is tipped to be a rebranded version of the Vivo S18 Pro, which was introduced in China in December 2023. The company has confirmed that the Vivo V30 Pro will be equipped with a 50-megapixel triple rear camera unit. Reports suggest that it may include a 50-megapixel Sony IMX920 primary sensor, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX816 portrait camera, and a third sensor paired with an ultra-wide-angle lens.
The Vivo V30 Pro may be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC, similar to the Vivo S18 Pro. It is also likely to run Android 14-based FuntouchOS 14 out-of-the-box and feature a 6.78-inch 120Hz full-HD+ AMOLED screen. The phone could come with an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. Vivo is tipped to pack a 5,000mAh battery into the handset with support for 80W wired fast charging.
