Yorba’s service is akin to Mint for streamlining your entire digital existence

Yorba, a new startup, aims to help users manage their digital footprint by providing a multi-purpose tool for organizing, monitoring, and managing online accounts, subscriptions, mailing lists, and more. The web-based dashboard allows users to declutter their online life by unsubscribing from mailing lists, canceling subscriptions, reviewing privacy policies, and other related tasks.

Similar to Mint for personal finance tracking, Yorba does not store user data on its own servers. Instead, it connects with users’ online accounts, such as Gmail, and soon other online services and cloud storage providers. Yorba utilizes natural language processing and machine learning techniques to scan users’ emails and identify their digital relationships, including accounts, subscriptions, and mailing lists. Additionally, users can connect to financial institutions and import accounts via CSV files.

Chris Zeunstrom was motivated to create Yorba after experiencing difficulty managing multiple email accounts, which often led to distractions and security vulnerabilities.

Despite using a password manager to organize his accounts, Zeunstrom found that it didn’t address the underlying issue of email overload and digital clutter. He envisioned Yorba as a solution akin to a “Fitbit for digital relationships,” aiming to improve users’ interactions with online platforms and services.

While some features of Yorba, such as unsubscribing from mailing lists, overlap with existing tools like Unroll.Me and Gmail’s built-in unsubscribe feature, Yorba stands out by offering a comprehensive suite of functionalities within a single platform. This consolidation allows users to manage various aspects of their online presence more efficiently.
