Opera One Unveils AI Feature Drops Programme for Beta Testers

Opera One’s AI Feature Drops: Bi-weekly Testing of New AI Capabilities

Opera One, the AI-powered browser from Opera, has introduced a new initiative called the AI Features Drop programme, as revealed on March 8. This programme offers users the opportunity to access the developer build of the browser and try out upcoming features before they are released to the general public. The AI capabilities of Opera One are integrated natively, powered by the company’s proprietary AI engine known as Composer AI. Notably, Opera recently announced plans to launch an iOS app for the browser in Europe, aligning with the guidelines set forth by the DMA.

According to information shared in a newsroom post by Opera, the AI Features Drop programme aims to provide users with experimental features for testing prior to their global rollout. To participate in the programme, users are required to sign up, granting them eligibility to receive these updates. Furthermore, the updates will be exclusively accessible through the developer build of the browser. Opera has outlined a bi-weekly release schedule for deploying new features as part of this programme.

Krystian Kolondra, Executive Vice President at Opera, expressed enthusiasm about the initiative during the announcement, stating, “AI is advancing rapidly, and so are we. With the AI Feature Drops Program, we aim to give users the opportunity to test our latest AI innovations, which may or may not be included in the official version of Opera One. We are eager to invite our most engaged users to test these features and provide us with valuable feedback and suggestions.”
