Apple’s upcoming AirPods Pro 3rd Generation is anticipated to feature significant advancements in active noise cancellation (ANC) technology.
Apple is gearing up to introduce its latest audio innovation with the anticipated launch of the AirPods Pro (3rd Generation). Set to be unveiled at Apple’s upcoming ‘It’s Glowtime’ event on September 9, the new model is expected to bring significant upgrades to its predecessor. While the company has not officially confirmed the details, leaks and reports suggest that the new AirPods Pro will feature improved active noise cancellation (ANC) capabilities, enhancing the audio experience for users.
The current AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) was released in September 2022, offering a blend of comfort and advanced noise-cancelling technology. However, the 3rd Generation model is set to push these features even further. According to tipster Kosutami (@Kosutami_Ito) on X (formerly Twitter), the upcoming AirPods Pro will incorporate “digital ANC,” a term suggesting a refined approach to noise cancellation. Although specific details about this new technology remain scarce, it is anticipated to provide a superior listening experience by effectively reducing ambient noise.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has also provided insights into the potential features of the AirPods Pro (3rd Generation). In his Power On newsletter, Gurman hinted that the new model would include an updated audio chip, which could significantly enhance sound quality and processing efficiency. Additionally, the new AirPods Pro is rumored to come with new health features, aligning with Apple’s broader strategy of integrating health and wellness capabilities into its devices.
The refreshed AirPods Pro is expected to maintain the design language of its predecessors, with a few tweaks for better ergonomics and functionality. While no major design changes have been leaked, users can anticipate incremental improvements in build quality and comfort. The emphasis on better ANC and new health features indicates that Apple is aiming to provide a more immersive and beneficial audio experience.
As for the standard AirPods models, Apple’s event is also rumored to feature updates to these devices. The upcoming standard AirPods are expected to include support for ANC on the mid-tier model, while the entry-level variant might not feature this technology. These updates suggest a focus on enhancing the audio experience across different price points, catering to a broader range of users.
In summary, the AirPods Pro (3rd Generation) is poised to be a significant upgrade in Apple’s audio lineup, with enhanced ANC capabilities and new technological advancements. The event on September 9 will likely provide more concrete details and a formal announcement of these features.
