Instagram is set to introduce a feature that will enable users to share profiles directly to their Stories

Instagram is in the process of developing a new feature that will enable users to add a profile to their Story, providing a potential avenue for small content creators to expand their followers and reach.

Instagram, the popular Meta-owned audio and video sharing platform is reportedly working on a new feature that will allow users to post other people’s profile as a story.

According to a recent post on X (formerly Twitter) by the known tipster Alessandro Paluzzi, profiles posted as stories will display the person’s first three posts and information like profile name and bio.

It will work similarly to the existing ‘Add to Story’ option and allow users to follow the profile shared as a ‘Story’.

The newly added feature will enable users to directly give a shout-out to their favourite creators by letting them post their profile as a story and also let the audience know what type of content they create.

Paluzzi also says that users will see a ‘view profile’ button as well, allowing users to view the shared profile at the tap of a button. It might help small content creators who are just getting started on the platform to increase their reach and get more views on the platform.

In a manner similar to photos and videos posted as ‘Stories’, the profiles shared using this feature are anticipated to vanish after 24 hours. As the feature is currently in development, the exact timeline for users to add profiles to their ‘Stories’ remains unclear, and users might have to wait for its eventual rollout.

Over the past few months, Instagram developers have consistently introduced new features to the platform. These include options such as downloading reels, an AI-powered custom sticker creator, and more, enhancing the overall user experience.
