iPhone 17 Series Likely to Include the New iPhone 17 Air Model This Year
Apple’s highly anticipated iPhone 17 series is rumored to launch in the coming weeks, with leaks providing early hints about what to expect. While Apple has not confirmed any official dates, a German tech publication recently revealed a potential launch timeline, which aligns with previous speculations. The next-generation lineup is expected to include four models: the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The standard and Air variants are rumored to feature the A19 chip, while the Pro models could be powered by the more advanced A19 Pro chipset.
According to iPhone-ticker.de, a German publication citing local mobile carriers, Apple is likely to hold its launch event on September 9, 2025. The event is expected to follow Apple’s familiar format, combining a keynote presentation with an online livestream and announcements about the new devices’ specifications, features, and pricing.
Pre-orders for the iPhone 17 series are expected to open shortly after the launch, with a projected start date of September 12, 2025. This would allow early adopters to secure their devices ahead of the official retail release. Apple is anticipated to maintain its usual rollout strategy, offering online and in-store sales simultaneously in key markets.
The official sale and shipment of the iPhone 17 series are expected to commence on September 19, 2025. This schedule would mirror Apple’s recent launches, giving customers around a week between pre-orders and device delivery. Industry analysts suggest that the iPhone 17 Air could become a notable addition to the lineup, offering a lighter, more affordable option while retaining some premium features from the Pro models.
