Itel A50 to Feature Octa-Core Unisoc T603 Chipset, Set for Indian Launch

Itel is gearing up for the launch of its latest budget smartphone, the Itel A50, in India, potentially as soon as next week. Although Itel has yet to officially announce the release, leaks and reports have given a glimpse into what can be expected in terms of pricing and specifications. The Itel A50 is anticipated to be positioned as a budget-friendly option, aimed at providing essential features at an accessible price point.

According to a report by 91Mobiles, the Itel A50 will be priced under ₹7,000, making it an affordable choice for cost-conscious consumers. This price range is in line with Itel’s strategy of offering competitive options in the entry-level smartphone segment. The report suggests that the Itel A50 will be available in multiple configurations, with the base model likely starting around the aforementioned price point.

In terms of specifications, the Itel A50 is expected to come equipped with a Unisoc T603 SoC, which should provide sufficient performance for everyday tasks and light multitasking. The device will feature an 8-megapixel rear camera, which should be adequate for basic photography needs. Additionally, the Itel A50 will boast a 5,000mAh battery, promising extended usage time between charges, a key feature for budget smartphones where battery life is often a critical consideration.

The Itel A50 will likely be positioned as a sibling to the Itel A70, which was launched earlier this year. The Itel A70 debuted in January with a starting price of ₹6,299 for the 4GB + 64GB variant, with higher storage options priced at ₹6,799 for 4GB + 128GB and ₹7,299 for 4GB + 256GB. The Itel A50’s pricing and specifications will be crucial for its competitive positioning against other budget smartphones in the Indian market.

Overall, the Itel A50 aims to capture the attention of budget-conscious consumers with its appealing price point and practical features. As the official launch approaches, more details will likely emerge, providing a clearer picture of how it will fare in the competitive entry-level smartphone landscape.
