Microsoft Launches First Copilot+ PCs: Meet the New Surface Pro and Surface Laptop – Prices and Features Revealed

Surface Devices Debuting with Qualcomm Snapdragon X Chipsets

Microsoft introduced its latest offerings for consumers on Monday, unveiling the Surface Pro 11 and Surface Laptop 7 at its Surface and Windows AI event held on May 20. These devices mark a departure from the recently launched business-oriented Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 models, now integrating AI capabilities as the company’s inaugural Copilot+ PCs. Notably, they are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X series chipsets, a shift away from the Intel Core Ultra chipsets found in their business-focused counterparts.

Pricing and availability details were also disclosed during the event. The Microsoft Surface Pro 11 starts at $999 (approximately Rs. 83,000) for the base model featuring 16GB of RAM, 256GB of SSD storage, and an LCD display, all running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus chipset. Similarly, the Surface Laptop 7 also begins at $999 (around Rs. 83,000) for its 13.8-inch variant, equipped with the Snapdragon X Plus chipset, 16GB of RAM, and 256GB of SSD storage. Both devices will be offered in a range of colors including Black, Dune, Platinum, and Sapphire.

Notably, these PCs are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X series chipsets instead of Intel Core Ultra chipsets seen in the business-focused Surface devices.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 11 starts at $999 (roughly Rs. 83,000) for the 16GB RAM and 256GB SSD inbuilt storage variant with an LCD display. This variant is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus chipset.
