Realme enthusiasts in India are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the Realme 12 5G, slated for launch alongside the Realme 12+ 5G on March 6. The impending debut follows the recent unveiling of the Realme 12+ 5G in select markets, setting the stage for an exciting dual-release event. Last week, Realme commenced pre-orders for both models, generating buzz among consumers eager to get their hands on the latest offerings from the brand. Ahead of the official launch, Realme has provided insights into key features of the Realme 12 5G, shedding light on aspects such as design, camera capabilities, and color options. Notably, the company has also teased a standout feature: the Dynamic Button, poised to enhance user experience with its versatile functionality.
The teaser for the Realme 12 5G’s Dynamic Button hints at a feature reminiscent of Apple’s renowned Action Button, suggesting a multifaceted tool designed to streamline user interactions. Realme’s teaser implies that the Dynamic Button will offer users the flexibility to assign custom actions, facilitating convenient control over various functionalities such as the camera shutter, flashlight, silent mode, aeroplane mode, and do not disturb (DND) mode, among others. This intuitive functionality bears resemblance to Apple’s Action Button, which empowers users to tailor actions to their preferences, whether it’s accessing the camera, adjusting focus modes, activating the flashlight, and more. Positioned below the volume rocker on the right edge of the device, the Dynamic Button holds the promise of enhancing user convenience and accessibility.
Despite Realme’s teaser unveiling the presence of the Dynamic Button, specific details regarding its implementation and capabilities remain shrouded in mystery. Realme has kept enthusiasts on their toes by withholding further information about this intriguing feature, leaving room for speculation and anticipation.
As the countdown to the official launch of the Realme 12 5G draws closer, enthusiasts eagerly await additional insights into the Dynamic Button’s functionality and its potential to elevate the user experience. With Realme’s track record of innovation and commitment to delivering cutting-edge technology, the Dynamic Button holds promise as a standout feature that could set the Realme 12 5G apart in the competitive smartphone landscape.
The company had previously confirmed that the Realme 12 5G will carry a 108-megapixel primary sensor with 3x in-sensor zoom. It has also been teased in a purple colour option. The design revealed in the teasers shows a large circular rear camera module that is similar to the design of the other Realme 12 series models, i.e. the Realme 12+ 5G, Realme 12 Pro 5G and Realme 12 Pro+ 5G.
Realme 12 5G will launch alongside the Realme 12+ 5G in India. The Plus variant of the handset is expected to be similar to the global counterpart. The company has confirmed that the Indian version will come with a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 OIS-supported main camera, MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC, a 120Hz AMOLED display with rainwater smart touch technology, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
