Realme Launches Realme 12+ 5G and Realme 12 5G in India: Unveiling Prices and Specifications
Realme 12 5G Boasts 108-Megapixel Primary Sensor for Enhanced Imaging Capabilities
Realme introduced its latest offerings, the Realme 12+ 5G and Realme 12 5G, to the Indian market on Wednesday, ushering in a new era of connectivity and performance. Both smartphones come equipped with the realme UI 5.0 custom skin and boast triple rear camera setups, enhancing their photographic capabilities. While the Realme 12+ 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 5G chipset, its counterpart, the Realme 12 5G, features a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ 5G SoC, ensuring seamless performance and efficient multitasking.
Moreover, both devices are equipped with 5,000mAh batteries supported by SuperVOOC fast charging technology, ensuring extended usage durations and quick recharge times. Additionally, the inclusion of Dynamic RAM technology enables the phones to leverage unused internal storage to augment available RAM, further enhancing overall system performance and responsiveness.
In terms of pricing, the Realme 12+ 5G starts at Rs. 20,999 for the base variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The higher-tier 8GB + 256GB model is priced at Rs. 21,999, offering users expanded storage capacity for their multimedia and productivity needs. Available in Navigator Beige and Pioneer Green color options, the Realme 12+ 5G presents users with a choice of stylish and contemporary finishes to suit their personal preferences.
On the other hand, the Realme 12 5G offers an affordable yet feature-rich option for consumers, with prices starting at Rs. 16,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and Rs. 17,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. With Twilight Purple and Woodland Green color variants, users can choose a handset that complements their individual style while enjoying the advanced features and connectivity options offered by the Realme 12 5G.
The handsets will go on first sale from 3:00 pm IST on March 6 to March 10. Realme is offering the Realme Buds T300 with the Plus model as an introductory offer. Buyers can avail of the Realme Buds Wireless 3 for free while purchasing the Realme 12 5G.The dual-SIM (Nano) Realme 12+ 5G runs on Android 14 along with the company’s realme UI 5.0 skin. Realme is promising three years of software updates and two years of security updates for the new handset.
The smartphone sports a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate. The display has a touch sampling rate of 240Hz and 1,200 nits of peak brightness. As mentioned, the handset is powered by a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7050 5G SoC, coupled with Arm Mali-G68 GPU and up to 8GB of RAM. With the Dynamic RAM feature, available memory can be expanded up to 16GB. Realme 12+ 5G also gets a Rainwater Smart Touch feature that is touted to improve touch input while using the handset during rain or with wet hands.
For optics, the Realme 12+ 5G has a triple rear camera system including a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) support, an 8-megapixel sensor paired with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. On the front, it features a 16-megapixel selfie shooter. Realme 12+ 5G offers up to 256GB of onboard storage.
