Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+ Prices Slashed by Rs. 10,000 in India Preceding Galaxy S24 Unveiling

Samsung Galaxy S23: Base Model 8GB RAM + 128GB Storage Now at Rs. 64,999

Ahead of the highly anticipated launch event for Samsung’s forthcoming Galaxy S24 series on January 17, the preceding Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ have recently witnessed significant price reductions in India. Notably, these revised prices are now reflected on various platforms, including the Samsung online store, Amazon, and Flipkart, marking a substantial drop of Rs. 10,000 from their original retail prices. Both the Galaxy S23 and S23+ boast a custom Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform designed for Galaxy devices, alongside impressive features such as Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays and triple rear camera setups.

The updated pricing for the Samsung Galaxy S23 indicates a current price tag of Rs. 64,999 for the base model offering 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is available at Rs. 69,999. To put it into perspective, during its debut in February last year, the base variant started at Rs. 74,999, and the 256GB storage version was priced at Rs. 79,999. On the other hand, the Galaxy S23+ now boasts a reduced price of Rs. 84,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, significantly lower than its initial launch price of Rs. 94,999. Similarly, the 8GB RAM + 512GB storage variant is currently offered at Rs. 94,999, down from its original price of Rs. 1,04,999.

These revised prices are prominently showcased on the Samsung online store, Amazon India, and Flipkart, providing prospective buyers with an attractive opportunity ahead of the imminent Galaxy S24 series launch.

 

 

In anticipation of the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on January 17, where Samsung is set to unveil its new Galaxy S24 series, the tech giant has initiated price reductions for its previous flagship models, the Galaxy S23 and S23+. This strategic move mirrors Samsung’s historical trend of reducing prices for earlier flagship devices following the release of newer iterations.

Diving into their specifications, the Samsung Galaxy S23 features a 6.1-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display that boasts a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, while its larger counterpart, the Galaxy S23+, flaunts a 6.6-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a variable refresh rate ranging from 48Hz to 120Hz. Both models are fueled by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform tailored for Galaxy devices, coupled with 8GB of RAM. Their camera setups comprise a triple rear configuration encompassing a 50-megapixel primary wide-angle sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens, complemented by a 12-megapixel selfie camera.

In terms of battery prowess, the Galaxy S23 is equipped with a 3,900mAh battery supporting 25W wired charging alongside 15W wireless charging capabilities. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S23+ packs a more substantial 4,700mAh battery that accommodates 45W wired charging, catering to users seeking enhanced power and faster charging capabilities.
