Honor Power 2 Unveiled With 10,080mAh Battery and Dimensity 8500 Elite Chip
Honor has expanded its smartphone portfolio in China with the launch of the Honor Power 2, introducing a device that places a strong emphasis on battery capacity and performance. The new handset arrives as the latest model in the Power series and will be offered in multiple colour options along with two storage variants for Chinese consumers.
One of the key highlights of the Honor Power 2 is its massive 10,080mAh battery, which is designed to deliver extended usage on a single charge. To complement the large battery, Honor has included support for 80W wired fast charging, enabling quicker top-ups despite the high capacity. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Elite chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.

In terms of pricing, the Honor Power 2 starts at CNY 2,699 (approximately Rs. 35,000) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The higher-end model, which offers 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, is priced at CNY 2,999 (around Rs. 39,000). The device will be available for purchase in China starting January 9 through Honor’s official online store.
On the software front, the Honor Power 2 runs MagicOS 10, based on Android 16. It features a 6.79-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,200 x 2,640 pixels and supports up to a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen also offers 3,840Hz PWM dimming, HDR support, and the ability to display 1.07 billion colours. Honor has integrated several eye-protection technologies, including Low Blue Light, Extreme Dark Mode, Oasis Eye Protection, AI Defocus Vision Soothing, and Natural Light-like Eye Protection. For photography, the handset is equipped with a dual rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor.
