OnePlus 13T Display Specs Leaked Debut

OnePlus is gearing up to launch the OnePlus 13T on Thursday in China as a compact alternative to the flagship OnePlus 13. As anticipation builds, the company has shared key display specifications for the upcoming device. Alongside its impressive Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and large 6,260mAh battery, the phone will also sport a 50-megapixel dual rear camera system and come in three color options.

According to a post on Weibo, the OnePlus 13T will feature a 6.32-inch flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution (1,216 × 2,640 pixels), a 120Hz refresh rate, and a pixel density of 460ppi. The screen will support a wide range of visual standards, including 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HDR Vivid, promising vivid colors and high contrast for an enhanced media experience.

OnePlus says the phone will use a self-developed display production line—the only one of its kind among Chinese phone makers, according to the company. It will include an in-house P2 display chip and incorporate “Bright Eye Protection 2.0” technology to reduce eye strain. Additional screen innovations include a “sun display” mode for better visibility outdoors, as well as Rain Touch 2.0 and Glove Touch, which improve usability in wet or gloved conditions.

Beyond its display, the OnePlus 13T will include a dual 50-megapixel camera setup featuring a Sony sensor, with support for 2x optical and 4x lossless zoom. A dedicated Wi-Fi G1 chip aims to optimize gaming performance. Weighing in at just 185 grams, the device will run ColorOS 15 based on Android 15 out of the box, positioning it as a feature-rich yet lightweight flagship alternative.

OnePlus 13 and 13R to Launch Globally on January 7

OnePlus 13 and 13R Set for Global Launch on January 7

OnePlus has officially confirmed the global launch date for its flagship OnePlus 13 series, which includes the highly anticipated OnePlus 13 and the rumored OnePlus 13R. The announcement comes after the OnePlus 13 debuted in China in October. The OnePlus 13R, expected to be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 5 launching in China on December 26, will serve as the successor to the OnePlus 12R. This global unveiling marks OnePlus’ first major release of 2024 and aims to strengthen its presence in flagship and mid-range markets worldwide, including India.

Launch Event Details

The OnePlus 13 series will be introduced globally on January 7 during the company’s Winter Launch Event. The event, expected to be held virtually, will be livestreamed in India starting at 9 PM IST. While the official announcement does not specify the lineup, the use of “series” strongly implies the launch of multiple devices, including the OnePlus 13R. This move aligns with OnePlus’ tradition of offering both premium and cost-effective variants to cater to diverse market segments.

OnePlus 13 Specifications (Global Variant)

The global version of the OnePlus 13 is anticipated to share key features with its Chinese counterpart. It will likely boast a 6.82-inch Quad-HD+ LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision support, and an impressive peak brightness of 4,500 nits. Under the hood, the handset could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, paired with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. These specifications position the OnePlus 13 as a formidable competitor in the flagship smartphone category.

OnePlus 13R: The Successor to the 12R

The OnePlus 13R is expected to follow in the footsteps of its predecessor, the OnePlus 12R, offering premium features at a more accessible price point. Reports suggest that it will be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 5, with hardware tailored to international markets. By including the 13R in the lineup, OnePlus aims to capture a broader audience, particularly in markets like India, where mid-range smartphones dominate.

Details of OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R global variants, including colours, RAM, and storage options, leaked.

The OnePlus 13 series is set to debut in international markets, with the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R expected to launch soon. Ahead of the release, details about the RAM, storage configurations, and colour options of the global variants have been leaked. The OnePlus 13R is reportedly going to be available in two colour variants, while the OnePlus 13, which has already launched in China, will feature a range of colours and configurations. In terms of performance, the OnePlus 13 is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a 6.82-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering a premium experience for users.

Leaker Arsène Lupin (@MysteryLupin) recently shared insights into the RAM and storage options for the global variants of the OnePlus 13 and 13R. According to the leak, the OnePlus 13 will be available in two primary configurations: 12GB of RAM with 256GB of storage and 16GB of RAM with 512GB of storage. In terms of colours, the global OnePlus 13 will reportedly come in three options: Arctic Dawn, Black Eclipse, and Midnight Ocean. It’s likely that the Black Eclipse colour will be tied to the base model, giving buyers a variety of choices to suit their personal style.

In contrast, the OnePlus 13 has already been available in China, where it is listed in a wider selection of colours and storage options. The Chinese variant comes in Blue Moments, Obsidian Realm, White Dew, and Morning Light shades, and offers four memory configurations: 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 512GB, and a premium 24GB RAM + 1TB storage model. However, it appears that the highest-spec variant, with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, will be exclusive to the Chinese market, suggesting that international buyers may not have access to the top-tier model.

As for the OnePlus 13R, while it is expected to come with a more affordable price tag, specific details on its configurations and colour options remain somewhat limited. Still, the global release of the OnePlus 13 series is highly anticipated, and the leak about these key specs gives a glimpse of what buyers can expect when the devices hit international markets. With a combination of high-end specifications, various storage capacities, and stylish colour choices, OnePlus is positioning the 13 series as a competitive offering in the flagship smartphone market.
