Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and the standard Xiaomi 15 in India, marking the arrival of its flagship smartphones in the region. Both models are powered by the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, offering powerful performance coupled with up to 16GB of RAM. The devices feature Leica-backed rear camera modules, a 32-megapixel selfie camera, and run on Android 15 with the HyperOS 2.0 skin on top. Additionally, both phones are IP68-rated, ensuring water and dust resistance. While the Xiaomi 15 Ultra was first introduced in China earlier this year, the Xiaomi 15 made its debut alongside a Pro variant in October 2024.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is priced at Rs. 1,09,999 for the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage version. Early buyers will enjoy additional perks, including a free Photography Kit Legend Edition and an instant discount of Rs. 10,000 when paying with an ICICI Bank card. The Photography Kit, priced at Rs. 11,999, includes a USB Type-C camera grip, a 2,000mAh battery, and a detachable shutter button. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 15 comes with a 12GB RAM and 512GB storage configuration priced at Rs. 64,999. Those who pre-order the standard model can avail themselves of a Rs. 5,000 discount and complimentary Xiaomi Care Plan benefits worth Rs. 5,999.

Pre-booking for both phones started on March 19 and runs until April 2, with a brief early access sale taking place on March 11. The devices will be available for purchase through Amazon, Xiaomi’s official e-store, and select offline retailers. The base Xiaomi 15 comes in Black, Green, and White color options, while the Ultra variant is offered exclusively in a sleek Silver Chrome finish.

Both models boast impressive displays. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra features a 6.73-inch WQHD+ LTPO AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1,440 x 3,200 pixels, offering a 120Hz refresh rate, a 300Hz touch sampling rate, and peak brightness of 3,200 nits. The screen is protected by Xiaomi Shield Glass 2.0 and supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. For added visual comfort, the display is TÜV Rheinland-certified for low blue light, circadian-friendly, and flicker-free use. The Xiaomi 15, meanwhile, sports a 6.36-inch full-HD+ LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,200 x 2,670 pixels. Both phones promise exceptional viewing experiences for users.

The announcement comes just hours after the global debut of the 15 series, ahead of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona. While the standard Xiaomi 15 model made its initial appearance in China last October alongside the Xiaomi 15 Pro (which remains exclusive to China), the Xiaomi 15 Ultra was unveiled in China on February 28, generating significant excitement in the smartphone market.

The official Xiaomi India account took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce the much-awaited Indian launch, which will take place at 12pm IST on March 11. Alongside the announcement, the company showcased the Xiaomi 15 Ultra in its Silver Chrome color option, while the standard model was presented in the Bright Silver hue. The reveal highlights the premium design and features of both variants, which are expected to make a strong impact in the Indian market.

In terms of specifications, while the exact India-specific details have yet to be officially confirmed, it is expected that the Xiaomi 15 will follow the same configuration as the global variant. The global version boasts a 6.36-inch 8T LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. The rear camera system includes a Leica-branded triple setup with three 50-megapixel sensors—one for wide-angle, one for telephoto, and one for ultra-wide shots—while the front camera offers 32-megapixel capabilities for selfies.

The Xiaomi 15 is equipped with a 5,240mAh battery, supporting 90W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The device runs on the Android 15-based HyperOS 2 operating system, which offers an upgraded user experience.
