iPhone SE 4 Expected to Have a Slight Price Increase Over Previous Model

Apple Expected to Price iPhone SE 4 Under $500 (Approx. Rs. 41,000)

Apple’s fourth-generation iPhone SE is reportedly in development, aiming to succeed the iPhone SE (2022). While the exact launch date remains unannounced, the upcoming budget iPhone is expected to feature a significant design overhaul and a host of new features. According to recent leaks, the iPhone SE 4 will adopt the design language of the iPhone 14, boasting a larger battery and the addition of Face ID support. This shift indicates Apple’s commitment to bringing more advanced features to its budget lineup, enhancing both functionality and user experience.

A tipster, J. Reve (@Revegnus1) on X, has hinted that the price of the iPhone SE 4 will remain competitive, likely staying below $500 (approximately Rs. 41,000). The iPhone SE (2022) was launched with a starting price of $429 (roughly Rs. 35,000). According to the tipster, the US launch price for the new model might either stay at $429 or see a modest increase of around 10 percent. Even with a potential price hike, Apple appears committed to keeping the cost within the $499 price bracket, ensuring it remains an affordable option for consumers.

In terms of camera capabilities, the iPhone SE 4 is rumored to feature a 48-megapixel primary rear camera, a significant upgrade expected to be introduced in 2025. This enhancement would position the SE 4 as a compelling choice for photography enthusiasts looking for a budget-friendly option without compromising on camera quality.

The display of the iPhone SE 4 is likely to be a 6.1-inch LTPS OLED screen, similar to the one used in the iPhone 14. This would offer users a more vibrant and high-resolution display compared to its predecessors. Additionally, the device is expected to house a 3,279mAh battery, providing improved battery life to support its enhanced features and larger screen.

Another notable upgrade is the inclusion of Apple’s in-house 5G modem chip, which would bring faster connectivity and better network performance. The iPhone SE 4 is also expected to feature a USB Type-C port for charging, aligning with the industry trend towards this universal standard. The dimensions of the phone are speculated to be 147.7×71.5×7.7mm, making it slightly larger and potentially more ergonomic than the previous models.

Overall, the iPhone SE 4 is shaping up to be a significant upgrade over its predecessor, offering a blend of modern design, advanced features, and competitive pricing. As Apple continues to refine its budget-friendly options, the SE 4 stands out as a promising choice for consumers seeking an affordable iPhone with up-to-date specifications.

The iPhone SE was first released in 2016. The third iteration of the iPhone SE was announced in 2022 in India with a starting price tag of Rs. 43,900 for the base 64GB model. iPhone SE (2022) runs on Apple’s A15 Bionic SoC and sports a 4.7-inch Retina HD display. It has a single 12-megapixel camera sensor at the back and a 7-megapixel camera sensor at the front.
