Airtel 5G Booster Packs Enable Unlimited 5G Access for Users on Non-Eligible Prepaid Plans
Airtel has launched new unlimited 5G data booster packs in India, aimed at providing seamless 5G connectivity to users who are currently on plans that do not offer 5G access. These booster packs are designed to cater to users who may have limited daily data allowances, ensuring they can enjoy the benefits of 5G technology without having to switch to more expensive plans. The new packs not only provide unlimited 5G data but also offer additional 4G data on top of the existing benefits of their prepaid or postpaid plans. This move is seen as Airtel’s response to the growing demand for high-speed connectivity, especially after recent price hikes in their prepaid and postpaid plans.
The introduction of these unlimited 5G data booster packs comes at a crucial time, as Airtel, like its competitors, recently revised the pricing structure of its recharge plans. The new pricing model limited unlimited 5G access to plans offering at least 2GB of daily data, leaving those on lower-tier plans without access to 5G. However, with the launch of these booster packs, Airtel aims to bridge that gap, ensuring that more users can experience the enhanced speeds and low latency offered by 5G technology.
In its announcement, Airtel revealed that these new booster packs will benefit users with 1GB or 1.5GB daily data plans, who were previously unable to access 5G networks. With prices starting as low as Rs. 51, these booster packs provide an affordable solution for users who wish to tap into 5G connectivity without upgrading to higher-priced plans. This affordability factor is expected to drive adoption, particularly among users who consume a significant amount of data but are on a budget.
The pricing for the booster packs is set at Rs. 51, Rs. 101, and Rs. 151, depending on the user’s needs and data consumption. Each pack unlocks unlimited 5G data for the duration of the user’s existing plan, giving them flexibility in how they use their data. This tiered approach to pricing allows users to select a pack based on their budget and usage requirements, making it easier to access 5G without unnecessary additional costs.
Airtel’s move to introduce these booster packs could also be seen as a way to retain customers amid stiff competition in the Indian telecom market. With competitors like Reliance Jio also rolling out their 5G services across the country, it has become essential for Airtel to offer affordable and flexible options for users who want to experience 5G. By doing so, Airtel hopes to attract new customers while retaining its existing user base.
In summary, Airtel’s new unlimited 5G data booster packs present an opportunity for users on lower-tier plans to experience high-speed 5G connectivity without having to upgrade to more expensive recharge options. The introduction of these packs could help boost 5G adoption in India while making the technology more accessible to a wider range of users. Whether for streaming, gaming, or work, Airtel’s offering ensures that users can make the most of 5G technology without worrying about data limitations.
