Apple has rolled out the iOS 18.4 Beta 3 update for developers and beta testers, focusing primarily on bug fixes and security enhancements. Unlike the previous Beta 2 update, which introduced Visual Intelligence to the iPhone 15 Pro, this release does not bring any major new features. Instead, it aims to refine Apple Intelligence, Siri, notifications, and other system functionalities. Users can expect improved stability and performance, addressing issues reported in earlier beta versions.
One of the key areas of improvement in iOS 18.4 Beta 3 is Apple Intelligence, Apple’s AI-powered suite. The update resolves three major issues that previously hindered the functionality of these features. Some users encountered a requirement to enable Siri for languages beyond English (US) before accessing Apple Intelligence, while others faced an indefinite “Downloading support…” message. Additionally, certain AI tools required a device reboot to function properly. These problems have now been fixed, making Apple Intelligence more accessible and seamless.
The update also brings enhancements to notifications. Previously, some users noticed that notifications would flicker or collapse momentarily, disrupting the user experience. Apple has addressed this bug, ensuring smoother and more reliable notifications. Siri has also seen improvements, particularly in non-English languages, where certain suggestions failed to complete successfully. These fixes help streamline interactions with Siri, making it more responsive across different languages.
While iOS 18.4 Beta 3 does not introduce groundbreaking changes, its focus on stability and reliability makes it a crucial update for those testing Apple’s latest software. With the final release of iOS 18.4 expected soon, Apple continues refining its AI capabilities and system functions, ensuring a more polished experience for all users. Developers and beta testers can explore the improvements now, while general users can anticipate a more stable update in the coming weeks.
