iQOO is getting ready to introduce its next flagship smartphone, the iQOO 16, in China later this month. The new handset will launch alongside the iQOO Pad Ultra, which is expected to become the company’s most premium tablet. Ahead of the official unveiling, iQOO has started revealing more details about the upcoming smartphone.
The latest teaser gives a clearer look at the iQOO 16’s design, including a redesigned rear camera module. While the phone continues to feature a flat back panel similar to the previous generation, the camera area has received a noticeable makeover. The lenses are placed inside a square-shaped module surrounded by a raised frame.
According to iQOO, the three rear camera lenses are connected through a design described as a “robotic arm.” The company says the overall arrangement creates a symbol resembling a “navigator,” giving the camera system a more distinctive appearance compared with the iQOO 15.
The rear panel will also feature a glass finish combined with a new hexagonal technology-inspired pattern. iQOO has confirmed at least one colour option called Light Chasing, which appears similar in style to the Apex Edition of the iQOO 15.
Along with the visual changes, the company is also highlighting a major improvement to the phone’s camera capabilities. The iQOO 16 is expected to deliver significantly better zoom performance than its predecessor, although the company has yet to reveal complete details about the camera sensors and zoom hardware.
More specifications, including the processor, display, battery capacity, charging speed, memory options, and pricing, are expected to be announced closer to the iQOO 16’s official launch in China.
