Upcoming Apple Event Expected to Unveil New iPad Pro, iPad Air, and MacBook Air Models

Apple appears to be preparing for a low-key yet significant announcement of multiple devices, potentially shaking up its product lineup in the coming weeks. Sources suggest that the tech giant, headquartered in Cupertino, is primed to refresh its tablet offerings, introducing new silicon, in what would mark a notable departure from its absence in the tablet refresh cycle of 2023. In addition to the anticipated iPad Pro and iPad Air updates, reports hint at the unveiling of new MacBook Air models and even a fresh color variant for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. The speculated release timeline suggests that while the iPad Pro, iPad Air, and MacBook Air iterations could see the light of day as early as this week, other products might be introduced by April 2024.

According to a report by MacRumors, citing sources familiar with the matter, Apple could potentially make these announcements in the imminent days. However, specifics regarding which products are set to be unveiled or the exact timing of the announcement remain undisclosed. Nevertheless, this report aligns with a broader narrative indicating Apple’s plans for a multi-product rollout.

Adding weight to these speculations, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, in his Power On newsletter, provided insights suggesting a slew of hardware releases on the horizon. Gurman indicated a lineup refresh encompassing revamped iPad Pro models, an updated iPad Air offering a 12.9-inch screen option, and complementary accessories like fresh Apple Pencils and Magic Keyboards. On the Mac front, Gurman hinted at the imminent arrival of 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air variants boasting the swifter M3 chip. With production already underway overseas and marketing teams gearing up for announcements, it appears that Apple’s forthcoming hardware releases are poised to make waves in the tech sphere.

As per reports, the list could include significant upgrades to two new iPad Pro models. The Apple tablets are expected to be equipped with the M3 chipset, OLED panels, a redesigned rear camera module, a landscape-oriented front camera, a slimmer body, and more. This would be the first time in more than five years that the Pro models are getting such a major update.

Two new iPad Air models are also expected to be introduced and feature the M2 chipsets. The biggest highlight from this lineup is reported to be the company’s first-ever 12.9-inch iPad Air model. MacBook Air is also said to get a refresh in the coming weeks. New 13-inch and 15-inch models powered by the M3 SoC and support for WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 could be unveiled.

Apart from these, a new Magic Keyboard with a larger trackpad, a new Apple Pencil, and new shades for iPhone cases and Apple Watch bands are also expected. It is also the time when the tech giant traditionally unveils a new colour option for the latest iPhone series. The report has mentioned that the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus might be the first to get a new finish in the coming weeks.

Despite being significant releases for the company, the latest reports claim that no event will be held for these devices, and they will be launched via multiple press releases over the next few weeks.
