NYT Games debuts a Wordle archive, offering access to over 1,000 past puzzles

The New York Times Games is enhancing its Wordle offering with the introduction of a Wordle archive, granting subscribers access to over 1,000 past Wordle puzzles. Rolling out gradually to “Games” and “All Access” subscribers on mobile and desktop platforms, the archive will enable players to catch up on missed puzzles and enjoy the game at their own pace. Subscribers can browse through past Wordle puzzles dating back to June 2021, track their progress, and share results with others.

Moreover, the Times is integrating WordleBot, its personalized companion that analyzes completed Wordle puzzles, into the NYT Games app. WordleBot helps players enhance their puzzle-solving skills by providing insights into alternative approaches and strategies.

The announcement follows the recent redesign of the NYT Games app, enhancing user discovery and progress tracking. With over 10 million downloads in 2023 and over eight billion games played, including 4.8 billion Wordle sessions, the Times continues to invest in its gaming hub to cater to its growing audience of game enthusiasts.
