Poco M6 5G Set to Enter Indian Market and Beyond as a Repackaged Iteration of the Redmi 13C 5G

Poco M6 5G: A Leap Forward with 5G Connectivity, Setting It Apart from Its Predecessor.

The eagerly anticipated Poco M6 5G is on the horizon for a global release, including the Indian market, if recent leaks are to be believed. According to information shared by tipster Kacper Skrzypek (@kacskrz) on X, the smartphone is poised to hit the market as a rebranded version of a recently launched budget-friendly Redmi smartphone in India.

In contrast to its predecessor, the Poco M5, this new addition to the M series is expected to elevate user experience with 5G connectivity. While Poco has yet to make an official announcement regarding the launch, the leaked screenshot from the tipster reveals intriguing details.

The leaked image showcases a manifest file referencing a Poco-branded handset bearing the model number 23128PC33I and the internal name “air_p.” The inclusion of the alphabet I at the end of the model number suggests a planned launch in India. Moreover, the image explicitly names the device as “Poco M6 5G,” serving as a clear indicator of its market identity.

Although comprehensive specifications for the Poco M6 5G are currently unavailable, the tipster’s assertion that it will be a rebranded Redmi 13C 5G offers enthusiasts a glimpse into the smartphone’s potential features and capabilities.

The Redmi 13C 5G that was launched in India on December 6 is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6100+ chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It runs on Android 13-based MIUI 14. The handset sports a 6.74-inch LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate.

For photos and videos, the Redmi 13C is equipped with a dual rear camera setup that comprises a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, along with a depth sensor. It also has a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W charging over a USB Type-C port, but Redmi only ships a 10W charger in the box.
