Vivo Y100i Power 5G Unveiled: Boasts Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC and Massive 6,000mAh Battery – Price and Specifications Revealed

Vivo has unveiled the Vivo Y100i Power 5G in China, marking the latest addition to its Y100 series lineup. Positioned as the newest 5G-enabled smartphone, this model joins the ranks alongside the Vivo Y100 and Vivo Y100i in the Chinese market. Powering the Vivo Y100i Power 5G is the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, paired with a robust 12GB of RAM.

Notably, it boasts a substantial 6,000mAh battery capacity and supports rapid 44W fast charging. In terms of imaging capabilities, the smartphone houses a 50-megapixel primary camera for capturing moments with clarity and detail.

Vivo Y100i Power 5G price

Priced at CNY 2,099 (approximately Rs. 20,000), the Vivo Y100i Power 5G is available in a single configuration offering 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It can currently be purchased in China through Vivo’s online store, offering color choices that include Distant Mountains Green, Moon Shadow Black, and Snowy White (translated from Chinese).

As of now, information regarding the Vivo Y100i Power 5G’s launch in India remains undisclosed. The Vivo Y100i was launched last month at CNY 1,599 (roughly Rs. 15,000) for the sole variant featuring 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. On the other hand, the Vivo Y100 made its debut in India back in February, priced at Rs. 24,999 for the solitary variant offering 8GB of RAM paired with 128GB of storage.

 

 

Vivo Y100i Power 5G specifications

The dual SIM (Nano) Vivo Y100i Power 5G ships with OriginOS 3 based on Android 13. It sports a 6.64-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,388 pixels) screen with up to 120Hz refresh rate and a 91.6 screen-to-body ratio. The screen has SGS low blue light certification and is rated to deliver 100 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. The LCD display has a centrally placed hole punch cutout to house the selfie shooter.

The Vivo Y100i Power 5G is powered by an octa-core 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, coupled with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and an Adreno 710 GPU. With the extended RAM feature, the inbuilt memory can be expanded up to 24GB by using unutilised storage. The handset packs up to 512GB of UFS2.2 storage. Vivo has equipped the phone with a 639mm square liquid cooling heat pipe and an 8736mm graphite sheet in the device for thermal management.

For optics, the Vivo Y100i Power 5G has a dual rear camera unit, comprising a 50-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture and 10x digital zoom support and a 2-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. For selfies and video chats, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

The Vivo Y100i Power 5G offers a comprehensive array of connectivity features, including 5G support, Bluetooth 5.1, a standard 3.5mm audio jack, a USB Type-C port for seamless connectivity, and GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and OTG Wi-Fi options. For enhanced user experience, it integrates various sensors such as an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, and proximity sensor.

Additionally, the smartphone is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, ensuring secure and convenient authentication.

Setting itself apart with a robust power solution, the Vivo Y100i Power 5G is fueled by a substantial 6,000mAh battery, accompanied by rapid 44W fast charging support. This represents a significant upgrade compared to its closest counterparts, the Vivo Y100 and Vivo Y100i.

The former boasts a 4,500mAh battery, while the latter incorporates a 5,000mAh battery unit. With dimensions measuring 164.63×75.80×9.10mm and weighing 199 grams, the device maintains a balanced and manageable form factor despite its powerful battery configuration.
