Poco M8 5G to Come With 3D Curved Screen and Snapdragon 6 Gen 3
The Poco M8 5G will ship with HyperOS 2 based on Android 15, offering a modern software experience right from the start.
The Poco M8 5G is gearing up for a launch in India, and Xiaomi’s subsidiary has already confirmed several key specifications ahead of its debut. The smartphone will feature a large 6.77-inch 3D curved display, promising an immersive viewing experience. Alongside the display, the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset and will run HyperOS 2 based on Android 15, with four years of guaranteed Android updates.
Poco has provided detailed display specifications for the M8 5G via a Flipkart microsite. The 6.77-inch screen offers a resolution of 2,392 x 1,080 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 3,200 nits. The display is said to cover 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut and will support Wet Touch 2.0 technology, enhancing usability even in wet conditions.
Under the hood, the Poco M8 5G will run on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, delivering a significant performance boost over its predecessor. AnTuTu benchmark tests reportedly score the device at over 825,000 points, which is claimed to be 83 percent higher than the Poco M7 5G. This makes it a strong contender in the mid-range segment.
The smartphone will come with up to 16GB of RAM, which includes 8GB of virtual RAM to support multitasking and heavy usage. With its combination of a high-refresh-rate curved display, powerful chipset, and extended software support, the Poco M8 5G aims to deliver a balanced performance and user experience for both everyday and demanding tasks.
