Teasing enthusiasts, Poco unveiled a promotional poster showcasing the smartphone’s design highlights. The upcoming device prominently features a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup, as depicted in the released visuals. Moreover, the front view reveals a waterdrop-style display notch, adding to the device’s anticipated aesthetics. Positioned as the successor to last year’s Poco M5, the Poco M6 5G is speculated to be a rebranded version of the Redmi 13C 5G, elevating expectations for its impending launch.
Poco has announced December 22 as the launch date of the Poco M6 5G through its official X (formerly Twitter) account. The launch event will take place at 12:00pm IST. As mentioned, the teaser shared by the company suggests that the handset will come with a waterdrop-style notch on the display. It shows an AI-backed dual rear camera unit comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor.
Meanwhile, Flipkart has separately created a dedicated webpage to tease the design of Poco M6 5G ahead of its debut. The online marketplace confirms that the smartphone will be available black and silver colour options.
Set to follow in the footsteps of its predecessor, the Poco M6 5G is anticipated to take over from the Poco M5, which made its debut in September of the previous year. Speculation surrounds the Poco M6 5G, suggesting it might be a rebranded version of the recently launched Redmi 13C 5G. Notably, the Redmi 13C 5G entered the Indian market earlier this month, sporting a price tag of Rs. 9,999 for its 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.
The Redmi 13C 5G boasts a substantial 6.74-inch LCD display, offering a smooth visual experience with its 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it harnesses the processing power of MediaTek’s Dimensity 6100+ SoC, coupled with a maximum of 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage. Imaging capabilities include a dual rear camera system featuring a potent 50-megapixel primary camera, complemented by a depth sensor, while the front houses a 5-megapixel selfie camera. To sustain usage, the device is equipped with a robust 5,000mAh battery, supporting 18W charging for added convenience and prolonged usage.
