The connection is facilitated via Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol (MCP), which ensures the AI has full context when responding to queries.

According to Anthropic, Claude is now linked to Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, and Outlook Calendar, giving the AI chatbot the ability to pull information from files, emails, calendar events, and chat conversations. Users can ask complex questions such as “What’s our next milestone for the project about X?” or “Summarize feedback from the last three client emails,” and Claude can provide detailed, informed responses.
