After a successful launch on PlayStation 5, Final Fantasy XVI is gearing up to make its debut on PC, marking a significant expansion for the critically acclaimed RPG. Publisher Square Enix announced that the highly anticipated PC version will become available on September 17, 2024, for both Steam and the Epic Games Store. This launch follows the game’s exclusive period on the PS5, where it captivated audiences with its rich storytelling and intricate gameplay.
To give players a taste of the action before the official release, Square Enix has made a free demo available on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. This demo provides an opportunity to explore the game’s vibrant world and combat mechanics, offering a glimpse into the experience that awaits upon full release. Alongside the demo, pre-orders for Final Fantasy XVI are now open, allowing fans to secure their copies ahead of time.
The PC release will feature two editions: the Standard Edition and the Complete Edition. The Standard Edition includes just the base game, while the Complete Edition offers a more comprehensive package. The Complete Edition bundles the base game with two downloadable content (DLC) chapters, “Echoes of the Fallen” and “The Rising Tide,” at a discounted rate. For those interested in the full experience, the Expansion Pass provides access to both story expansions.
In addition to the new content, pre-ordering Final Fantasy XVI on PC comes with exclusive in-game items as rewards. This incentive aims to enhance the gameplay experience with additional items that players can use in their adventure. The Standard Edition is priced at Rs. 3,499, while the Complete Edition, which includes the base game and both DLCs, is available for Rs. 4,799.
This announcement marks an exciting development for fans who have been eagerly waiting for the chance to experience Final Fantasy XVI on PC.
