Google Pixel 10 Series ‘Pixelsnap’ Cases Leak Ahead of August 20 Launch
Pixel 10 series rumored to feature integrated magnets for wireless charging
Google’s upcoming Pixel 10 series is reportedly set to support built-in magnets for wireless charging, a feature hinted at by recently leaked official protective cases. This marks a notable upgrade from the Pixel 9 series, whose official cases did not include magnetic charging support, though third-party “Made for Google” cases did support Qi 2 wireless charging. The addition of magnets is expected to enhance the convenience of wireless charging and accessory alignment for users.
The leak, reported by Nieuwemobiel, shows the official “Pixelsnap” cases for both the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro XL. While the overall case design follows the familiar minimalistic style of previous Google cases, the images reveal a circular ring inside the cases, signaling magnetic compatibility. This design mirrors what has been seen in other magnet-supported cases like Apple’s MagSafe, indicating that Google may be standardizing magnetic wireless charging for the series.
In addition to functionality, the leaked images highlight the colour options for both devices. The base Pixel 10 is expected to be available in Indigo, Obsidian, Limoncello, and Frost shades, while the Pixel 10 Pro XL could come in Moonstone, Jade, Porcelain, and Obsidian. These colourways align with prior leaks and renderings, giving enthusiasts an early glimpse of the aesthetic choices for the new series.
Overall, the Pixel 10 series appears poised to offer incremental improvements in both design and utility. The combination of built-in magnetic support, a refreshed lineup of colour options, and Google’s software enhancements could make these handsets attractive to users seeking both functionality and style in their next smartphone.
