Infinix has officially confirmed that the Infinix Note 40 series will soon receive the highly anticipated Android 15-based XOS 15 update. The update was first unveiled by the Chinese tech brand last month, with the Infinix Note 50 series being the first to ship with the new XOS 15 interface. The update brings a host of new features, including the Dynamic Bar for displaying notifications, Vogue Portraits for personalized wallpaper, and an enhanced AI assistant named Folax. Now, the Infinix Note 40 series, including the Note 40 Pro+ 5G, Note 40 Pro 5G, Note 40 Pro, Note 40 5G, Note 40, and Note 40s models, will gradually begin receiving the XOS 15 update within this quarter.
The rollout of the update will be gradual, meaning it may take some time before all eligible devices receive the new software. Infinix has stated that specific update schedules for each model will be shared later, and some regions may not support the update initially. The Infinix Note 40 series originally launched with the Android 14-based XOS 14 interface, and the upcoming transition to XOS 15 will bring substantial improvements in both performance and user experience. The update will be a significant upgrade for users of the Note 40 series, further enhancing the value of the smartphones.
One of the standout features of the XOS 15 update is its revamped user interface, which includes customizable animations and fonts, offering a more personalized experience for users. The update also introduces a dedicated Game Mode, designed to optimize the phone’s performance for gaming, as well as a Vogue Portraits feature that lets users customize their wallpapers to a greater degree. Additionally, the Dynamic Bar will offer quick access to important apps and functions such as Google Maps, Smart Panel, and PC connection features, further enhancing productivity.
Moreover, XOS 15 brings a range of AI-powered features designed to improve the user experience. These include the One-Tap Infinix AI functionality, On-Screen Awareness, AI Wallpaper Generator, and AI Note, which adds smart capabilities to note-taking. The new Circle to Search feature and Writing Assistant aim to further streamline everyday tasks. Additionally, the update introduces a fun AIGC Portrait Mode that lets users create avatars in various templates and scenarios in real-time. With these advanced features, XOS 15 looks set to deliver a more intuitive and enjoyable smartphone experience for Infinix users.
