OnePlus to Unveil Ace 5 Racing Edition and Ace 5 Ultra With Multiple Color, RAM, and Storage Variants

OnePlus to Launch Ace 5 Racing Edition and Ace 5 Ultra in China

OnePlus is expanding its Ace 5 series lineup with the official launch of the Ace 5 Racing Edition and Ace 5 Ultra, both set to debut in China on May 27. These new additions will complement the already-released Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro models, which launched in December 2024. As confirmed by the company, the upcoming devices will run on Android 15-based ColorOS 15 out of the box and offer multiple RAM and storage options to suit a variety of users.

The launch event is scheduled for 2:30pm local time (12pm IST), and OnePlus has confirmed some key hardware specifications. The OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e chipset, while the more premium Ace 5 Ultra will feature the Dimensity 9400+ SoC. These high-performance processors indicate that both phones are designed to handle intensive tasks, including gaming and multitasking, with ease.

To further enhance the user experience, particularly for gamers, both handsets will be equipped with additional hardware such as dedicated “Fengchi” gaming chips, “Lingxi” touch response chips, and G1 gaming Wi-Fi modules. OnePlus claims these features will ensure stable performance with minimal frame drops and connectivity issues, potentially setting a new standard for gaming-focused smartphones in this category.

When it comes to configurations, the Ace 5 Racing Edition will be available in four options: 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 512GB. The Ace 5 Ultra will offer these same combinations and introduce a higher-tier 16GB + 1TB variant for users seeking maximum storage capacity. With refined design choices, enhanced gaming capabilities, and flagship-grade internals, the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition and Ultra are shaping up to be strong contenders in the mid-to-premium Android smartphone space.
