New OnePlus Watch Design and Button Layout: Is This the OnePlus Watch 3?
OnePlus, renowned for its innovative approach to technology, appears to be gearing up for another stride in the wearable market, despite recently launching the OnePlus Watch 2 in February. This latest development comes in the form of a leak suggesting a new OnePlus smartwatch is in the works. While the OnePlus Watch 2 impressed with its dual processor setup and seamless OS switching, offering enhanced battery life and functionality, the leaked device hints at further refinements and possibly a new iteration.
The leak originated from a sighting on a Chinese certification website, TENAA, where a new OnePlus wearable bearing the model number OPWW234, under Oppo’s branding (OnePlus’ parent company), was spotted. The accompanying image reveals a device that shares similarities with its predecessor but also hints at notable design tweaks. Notably, the display appears larger with a refined bezel design, potentially signaling a focus on enhancing screen real estate without significantly altering the overall form factor.
Analyzing the image further, the OnePlus logo prominently displayed on the device’s face underscores its identity within the OnePlus ecosystem. The positioning and size of the logo suggest a continuation of OnePlus’ commitment to brand visibility and recognition in their wearable lineup. Moreover, the presence of inscriptions on the display raises curiosity about possible new features or functionalities that OnePlus might be integrating into this upcoming smartwatch iteration.
While specific details regarding the internal specifications and feature set remain undisclosed, the mere appearance of the device on a certification platform typically heralds its impending launch. OnePlus enthusiasts and tech aficionados alike are eagerly anticipating official announcements that could shed light on enhancements, improvements, and new capabilities expected from this latest addition to the OnePlus wearable family.
In the competitive realm of smartwatches, OnePlus has carved out a niche by balancing performance, design, and value. With each iteration, the company has strived to refine its offerings, addressing consumer feedback and technological advancements. As OnePlus continues to expand its portfolio of smart devices, including wearables, the introduction of a new smartwatch underscores its commitment to innovation and meeting the evolving needs of its global user base.
The three-quarter profile of the watch does make it appear a lot slimmer compared to the chunkier OnePlus Watch 2, but this could just be because of the angle the photograph was captured from. This smartwatch (which could be the OnePlus Watch 3) also appears to have two buttons like the OnePlus Watch 2 does, but they both point outwards compared to the second (multifunction) button which pointed downwards thanks to its odd placement. The design of the lugs and the placement of the strap seems similar to what’s already available on the outgoing model.
As the market eagerly awaits more details and possibly an official unveiling, OnePlus remains poised to once again disrupt the wearable landscape with a device that blends style, functionality, and technological prowess. Whether this upcoming smartwatch emerges as the OnePlus Watch 3 or a distinct model, it is poised to captivate tech enthusiasts and consumers seeking cutting-edge features and reliability in their wearable technology choices.
