PlayStation Plus Expands August Lineup With Mortal Kombat 1, Marvel’s Spider-Man, and Sword of the Sea
The August PlayStation Plus Game Catalog titles, including Mortal Kombat 1, Marvel’s Spider-Man, and Sword of the Sea, will be available to play starting August 19.
Sony has unveiled the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineup for August, headlined by Mortal Kombat 1. The fighting game, released in 2023, resets the Mortal Kombat universe with a new timeline following the events of Mortal Kombat 11. Players take on the role of Fire God Liu Kang, who organizes a new Mortal Kombat tournament, featuring a cinematic story mode, multiplayer, and cross-play and cross-progression support.
Other notable titles joining the PS Plus Game Catalog in August include:
- Marvel’s Spider-Man – action-adventure superhero game
- Sword of the Sea – adventure title
- Earth Defense Force 6 – third-person shooter
- Unicorn Overlord – tactical RPG
- Additional PS4 and PS5 games
All these games will be available to PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/Premium tier members starting August 19. Additionally, Sony announced that two classic Resident Evil games will join the Classics Catalog for Deluxe/Premium subscribers later this month.
