Sony is reportedly preparing to launch a fresh color option for its popular PlayStation 5 peripherals, including the DualSense Edge controller, Pulse Elite wireless headset, and Pulse Explore wireless earbuds. Currently available in the signature white color, these accessories may soon be offered in a sleek black finish, providing gamers with more choices to complement their setup. The DualSense Edge also has a gray variant released for PlayStation’s 30th anniversary, adding variety to the existing lineup.
New Black Colorway for PS5 Accessories
According to reliable industry insider billbil-kun, a report from Dealabs revealed that Sony is gearing up for the launch of these accessories in black. While specific details regarding the release date and official announcement are still under wraps, the report suggests that the new color options could be unveiled within the next month. This move reflects Sony’s continued efforts to provide gamers with a more customizable and stylish experience for their PS5 setup.
Pricing for New Color Options Remains Unchanged
The new black colorway for the DualSense Edge and Pulse headphones is expected to be priced similarly to the existing white versions, offering no additional cost for the new look. In India, the DualSense Edge controller is priced at ₹18,990, while the Pulse Elite headset and Pulse Explore earbuds are available for ₹12,990 and ₹18,990, respectively. This new color option is likely to attract both existing PlayStation 5 owners and those looking to match their accessories with their gaming environment.
Aesthetic Appeal Meets Performance
With the introduction of the black colorway, Sony aims to offer more personalization options for gamers, especially those who prefer a darker, more refined aesthetic for their gaming accessories. Whether used for extended gaming sessions or as part of a larger entertainment setup, these peripherals continue to deliver excellent performance, with the DualSense Edge providing enhanced control features and the Pulse audio accessories offering superior sound quality. The addition of black to the lineup will likely appeal to a wider audience, further enhancing the appeal of Sony’s premium gaming accessories.
