Asus Unveils Refreshed ROG Strix, Zephyrus, and TUF Gaming Laptops Featuring Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 GPUs
At Computex 2025 in Taipei, Asus announced updates to its popular gaming laptop lineup, including the ROG Strix, ROG Zephyrus, and TUF series, now equipped with the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 laptop GPUs. The refreshed models span a wide range of sizes and configurations, including the ROG Strix G16 and G18, ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16 (2025 editions), as well as the TUF Gaming A14, A16, A18, and F16. These gaming machines offer versatility with options for either Intel or AMD processors and feature powerful 90Wh batteries designed to support intensive gaming sessions.
While Asus has yet to reveal the exact pricing details for these new laptops, the company has confirmed availability in Canada through various retail channels, including the Asus online store, Amazon, Best Buy, and Canada Computers, with shipments expected in the coming weeks. This launch aims to provide gamers and creators with more powerful and efficient hardware options, leveraging the performance improvements of the RTX 5060 GPU across multiple device sizes and use cases.
Focusing on the ROG Strix series, both the G16 and G18 models are equipped with either the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX or the AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX processors, paired with the latest Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 GPU featuring 8GB of GDDR7 memory. These laptops support up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD storage. Display options include the ROG Nebula panels with refresh rates up to 240Hz, 3ms response times, 500 nits peak brightness, and full DCI-P3 color coverage. The G18 boasts an 18-inch 2.5K screen, while the G16 features a 16-inch OLED 2.5K display, both optimized for immersive gaming and content creation. Advanced cooling is handled by Asus’s Tri-Fan system, and a 90Wh battery ensures extended usage.
The ROG Zephyrus G16 and G14 (2025) models also received notable upgrades, featuring top-tier processors such as the Intel Core Ultra 9 285H and AMD Ryzen AI 7 HX 350 for the G16, and the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 for the G14. Both laptops come with up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM, clocked at speeds up to 8000 MHz in the G14, along with 1TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD storage. Similar to the Strix lineup, these Zephyrus models incorporate the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 GPU with 8GB GDDR7 graphics memory, providing powerful graphical performance in slim and portable form factors tailored for high-end gaming and productivity.
