Honor expanded its flagship lineup last year with the launch of the Magic 8 Pro in China, introducing a smartphone powered by a massive 7,200mAh battery. Now, the company has confirmed that the Magic 8 series will soon grow with the addition of a new model called the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air. The upcoming handset is positioned as a lighter and slimmer alternative to the standard Pro variant.
According to an official announcement, the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air will debut in China in the fourth week of January. While Honor has not yet shared full specifications or feature details, the brand has begun teasing the device ahead of its launch, hinting at a premium experience in a more compact and lightweight design.
Honor confirmed via a post on Weibo that the Magic 8 Pro Air will be launched in China on January 19. The teaser uses the tagline “Pro in the Air,” suggesting that the smartphone aims to deliver flagship-level performance while prioritizing portability. This points to a design-focused approach without significantly compromising on power.
Adding to the anticipation, a tipster has shared multiple renders of the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air online. These images reveal the phone’s overall design, slim profile, colour options, and dimensions. Based on the leaked visuals, the Magic 8 Pro Air is expected to be the thin-and-light member of the Magic 8 family, with Honor likely to disclose more official details as the launch date approaches.
