However, as per leaks and assessments concerning the company’s product cycle, the likelihood of this handset being labeled as the Nothing Phone 3 was discounted. Instead, it’s anticipated to represent a streamlined variant derived from the Nothing Phone 2, unveiled earlier in July of the current year. Recent leaks have shed light on some pivotal specifications purportedly belonging to this smartphone.
According to a report from Smartprix, the anticipated Nothing Phone 2a is speculated to showcase a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel, marked with the model number rm692h5, crafted by BOE and Visionox. This display is anticipated to boast a resolution of 1,084 x 2,412 pixels, accompanied by a fluid 120Hz refresh rate. As indicated by the same report, the smartphone is likely to harness the power of a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset.
Further details, sourced from a report quoting tipster Kamila (@Za_Raczke), point to a dual rear camera setup for the Nothing Phone 2a. This setup is rumored to encompass a 50-megapixel Samsung S5KNG9 1/1.5-inch primary sensor alongside a 50-megapixel Samsung S5KJN1 1/2.76-inch sensor equipped with an ultrawide lens. Additionally, the handset is expected to feature a front-facing 32-megapixel Sony IMX615 sensor.
