The OnePlus 13T is shaping up to be an exciting addition to the compact flagship category, marking the brand’s return to a segment dominated by companies like Samsung, Google, and Oppo. Slated for launch in China on April 24, the OnePlus 13T is expected to be priced around Rs. 70,000, placing it in direct competition with other premium compact devices. However, OnePlus might launch the 13T at a more competitive price point to capture consumer attention, which could mean fewer cameras compared to current compact flagships like the OnePlus 13.
One of the standout features of the OnePlus 13T is its impressive battery capacity. Confirmed by OnePlus’ China head, Louis Jie, the upcoming smartphone will come equipped with a 6,260mAh battery. This is a significant upgrade compared to many compact devices in this range, offering users the convenience of all-day usage without worrying about frequent charging. According to Jie’s Weibo post, the OnePlus 13T will provide enough power for daily tasks without the need for a power bank or using power-saving modes.
Battery life tests shared by OnePlus indicate that the 13T outperforms other compact flagships in various scenarios, including GPS navigation and other demanding tasks. Interestingly, the OnePlus 13T’s battery efficiency is even comparable to that of the much larger iPhone 16 Pro Max, showcasing how OnePlus has managed to optimize battery life despite the phone’s compact dimensions. This makes the OnePlus 13T an appealing option for users who want a powerful phone in a smaller form factor.
The OnePlus 13T is said to use Glacier Battery technology, which could be a reference to the silicon-carbon batteries increasingly found in Chinese smartphones. This technology enhances the battery’s energy density, allowing it to hold a higher capacity without increasing the size of the battery. Additionally, it supports faster charging, further improving the overall user experience. On the performance side, the OnePlus 13T is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, ensuring smooth performance across tasks. With a 6.32-inch flat display, narrow bezels, and a fresh design, the OnePlus 13T is poised to offer both a compact and powerful package.
