Poco is gearing up to launch the Poco M8 5G in India, and the company has already begun revealing key details ahead of the official announcement. The upcoming smartphone is positioned as a major upgrade in the M-series, with confirmed information about its display, performance hardware, and long-term software support.

One of the headline features of the Poco M8 5G is its large 6.77-inch 3D curved display. The panel offers a Full-HD+ resolution of 2,392 x 1,080 pixels and supports a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Poco claims the screen can reach up to 3,200 nits of peak brightness, making it suitable for outdoor use, while also delivering 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage.

The display is also said to include Wet Touch 2.0 technology, allowing it to remain responsive even when used with wet fingers. This feature is aimed at improving everyday usability, particularly in humid or rainy conditions.

Under the hood, the Poco M8 5G will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. According to the company, the processor delivers an AnTuTu score exceeding 8,25,000, representing an 83 percent performance jump over the Poco M7 5G. The chipset will be paired with up to 16GB of RAM, including 8GB of virtual RAM support.

On the software front, the handset is confirmed to run HyperOS 2 based on Android 15 right out of the box. Poco has also promised four years of Android OS updates, positioning the M8 5G as a compelling option for users looking for long-term software support in the mid-range segment.
