Day-One Launch Titles: Tales of Kenzera: Zau  and Animal Well

Sony has unveiled the lineup of games set to join the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog in April, offering subscribers an exciting array of titles to enjoy. PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/Premium tier members can look forward to diving into the deep-sea exploration RPG, Dave the Diver, and embarking on epic adventures with the Metroidvania action title, Tales of Kenzera: Zau, among others. Alongside these, indie platformer Animal Well, open-world racing sensation Crew 2, action-packed platformer Raji: An Ancient Epic, and more will also be available. Most of these titles are slated to hit the PS Plus catalog on April 16, providing ample gaming options for subscribers.

The announcement of April’s PS Plus Game Catalog lineup was made via the PlayStation Blog on Wednesday, confirming the highly anticipated titles making their way to the service. Among them, Dave the Diver and Tales of Kenzera: Zau stand out as notable additions, each offering unique gameplay experiences and captivating narratives.

Dave the Diver, developed by Mintrocket, initially garnered attention with its release on PC last year, followed by a Nintendo Switch port. Now, PlayStation console owners can join Dave on his underwater adventures as he explores the depths of the Blue Hole, encounters exotic marine life, and operates a bustling sushi restaurant by night. With its vibrant pixel art style and engaging gameplay mechanics, Dave the Diver promises hours of immersive entertainment for players on both PS4 and PS5 platforms.

Meanwhile, Tales of Kenzera: Zau brings players into a richly detailed world filled with secrets to uncover and challenges to overcome. As a day-one launch title on April 23, this Metroidvania action game offers an expansive and dynamic gaming experience that will captivate players from the moment they start their journey. Similarly, Animal Well, set to debut on May 9 as another day-one launch title, promises to deliver a charming and engaging platforming experience that will delight players of all ages.

With these exciting additions to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, subscribers can look forward to an immersive gaming experience that offers something for everyone. Whether diving into the depths of the ocean with Dave, embarking on epic quests in Tales of Kenzera: Zau, or exploring the whimsical world of Animal Well, there’s no shortage of adventures awaiting players in April and beyond.

Tales of Kenzera: Zau is another Metroidvania platformer that arrives as a day-one launch title on April 23. First announced earlier this month for PS Plus Game Catalog, Tales of Kenzera: Zau is a narrative-focussed 2.5D action platformer where players take control of the titular Zau, a young warrior seeking the God of Death. Its gameplay and visuals echo Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown from earlier this year, with fast-paced action combat and intricate platforming. Tales of Kenzera: Zau will be available on PS5

Continuing the trend of indie action platformers, Raji: An Ancient Epic, developed by Indian studio Nodding Heads Games, also joins the PS Plus catalogue this month. The game is inspired by Indian mythology and lets players take on mythical beasts and demons as the eponymous protagonist Raji searches for her little brother. Raji features plenty of puzzles and sports a distinct art style and will be available on both PS4 and PS5.
