Google Pixel 10 Series Cases Leak Ahead of Official August 20 Reveal
Pixel 10 Series Rumored to Feature Built-In Magnetic Wireless Charging
Leaks suggest that Google’s upcoming Pixel 10 series will include built-in magnets to support wireless charging, marking a notable upgrade over the previous generation. The official protective cases for the new handsets have surfaced online, hinting at compatibility with this magnetic charging functionality. This move could streamline wireless charging and accessory alignment, making the experience more seamless for users. Unlike the Pixel 9 series, which lacked built-in magnetic support in its official cases, the Pixel 10 appears to fully integrate this feature.
The leaked cases also reveal the design aesthetics and colour options for the upcoming devices. For the base Pixel 10, the cases are shown in Indigo, Obsidian, Limoncello, and Frost shades, aligning with earlier rumours about the handset’s potential colourways. These cases retain the familiar minimalistic style Google has used in previous generations while accommodating the new magnetic functionality.
Meanwhile, the Pixel 10 Pro XL cases come in Moonstone, Jade, and Porcelain colours, with the Pro XL model reportedly also available in an Obsidian variant. The addition of these colourways indicates Google’s continued focus on offering diverse options for users who prefer both style and functionality. The cases appear to have precise cutouts for cameras, buttons, and charging ports, ensuring full usability alongside protective features.
Beyond aesthetics, the built-in magnets suggest that the Pixel 10 series may support improved wireless accessories, such as snap-on wallets or stands, similar to the MagSafe ecosystem on iPhones. This integration could make accessory compatibility and charging more convenient, providing a smoother and more user-friendly experience for Google Pixel enthusiasts.
