The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge has recently appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, hinting that its launch in India may be imminent. This model, considered the slimmest in the Galaxy S25 series, was first teased during Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event in January and later showcased at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2025). With the appearance of the Galaxy S25 Edge on the BIS website, it seems clear that Samsung is preparing to introduce the device to global markets soon, including India.
The BIS listing, identified via Xpertpick, shows a model number associated with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and is believed to be the Indian variant. While Samsung has yet to officially announce regional availability or specific launch dates, this certification typically signals that the company is gearing up for a local release. Gadgets 360 confirmed the listing on the Indian regulatory site, providing further evidence of the handset’s upcoming debut.
According to recent leaks, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will feature a 3,900mAh battery, as seen in a listing on the UK Demko website. Additional information from China’s 3C website suggests the device will support 25W charging, which aligns with the capabilities of the base Galaxy S25 model. While the battery specs and charging speed are significant, the more exciting news lies in the hardware and software enhancements.
Rumors also point to the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip powering the Galaxy S25 Edge, offering a custom, high-performance variant of Qualcomm’s latest chipset. The device is expected to come with 12GB of RAM and run on One UI 7, which is based on Android 15. This combination of hardware and software will likely make the Galaxy S25 Edge a high-performing and feature-rich device, promising improvements in both speed and AI capabilities for a more seamless user experience.
